Sunbonnet Sue

The center of the quilt is completed now to add a piano key border. The challenge has been to find the fabric set aside for the border. It came up missing so I have been going through many boxes trying to find it.

Late afternoon today I finally came acrossed the box I was looking for. So now to cut a group of 2 and a half inch wide by 12 inch long strips to make a piano key border to finish the top.

Then it will be off to the quilter.

  1. Thanks for your comment on my blog re Janome sewing machines - the more I hear about them, the more it looks like I might end up with one.
Love this quilt! I've done a few Sunbonnet Sue blocks for fun, but not enough to make a quilt or even a wall hanging. Still it's a start, and one day I will make enough for a small quilt, I hope!
