March 12 Progress

As I noted the other day, I have had these embroider panels done for quite a while and they have been sitting in a box with a collection of fabrics waiting to be worked on, I started piecing the blocks earlier in the month and then I made a bunch of flying geese that go around the quilt. This is the center section, and it has blocks to be added as you can see.

I measured the embroidery section and did its first trim. Well reading the numbers meant that I trim the section 1/2 in to narrow it was to be cut 9 1/2 inches and I cut it at 9 inches exactly. :(

So to make sure that everything else works I am going to have to add 1/4 in to the other two embroidery panels as my fix I don't think it will mess with anything other then to have the outer border blocks fit being 1/2 in short might be a problem.  Guess watching measurements are rather a thing in this pattern I did not read close enough. Fortunately the fix is an easy one.

Day two after chem I took my antinausea pill and all is going well I have two other pills I can take but as I am not having any nausea as of yet I am just going to wait on them. my biggest complaint is a low grade headache that I am taking some basic Tylenol for that. The port site is tender but that also is healing as I am sure it should be a little tender definitely tolerable.

The fun comes tonight as I have to give myself an injection to up my white blood count as my immune system is suppressed due to Chemo. We are drawing straws if I can do it myself or if Fred will be giving me a shot. Will see how it goes I think just thinking about it is going to be worse then doing it.
